The Manager – Digital Sales Channels supports Field Sales Managers (GAM/KAM/AM) in technical discussions with customers related to NDC, United Corporate Direct (United for Business), TripLink (and other direct channel suppliers). Develops and consults on distribution technology initiatives related to the modernization of airline retailing. Primary focus is to champion United’s distribution options throughout the corporate travel community to increase company revenue, while lowering our cost of doing business. The Manager – Digital Sales Channels will help drive improved share premium, improved contract compliance, and increase revenue through multiple technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates customer implementation of NDC & UCD projects
  • Develops and nurture relationships with key corporate customers on behalf of Digital Sales. Effectively communicate the benefits of United’s distribution strategy related to NDC and direct channel to increase revenue and share generation.
  • Technical liaison between Digital Sales, corporate customers and TMCs in projects that shift United content consumption to NDC-enabled modern retailing channels (NDC connection options, content benefits and overall channel considerations).
  • Manage workstreams related to UCD, Break from Business, Traxo, ChromeRiver, Expensify, Emburse and Duty of Care providers.
  • Through strategic contracting efforts (“Blueprint”) Placement of digital marketing assets on B2C booking sites to highlight and differentiate United’s product offering [to influence travelers to select United Airlines). Includes consultative discussions to optimize shelf space in corporate OBTs relative to other carriers.

NOTE: This position will require approximately 50% travel and provides for a US-based remote work arrangement ideally located near a United Hub.

The salary for this position is $103,500 to $151,800, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of sales/airline management experience required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Experienced knowledge of corporate online booking tools (administration, capabilities, strengths, weaknesses).
  • Knowledge of GDS distribution tools (Sabre, Travelport, Amadeus), as well as content aggregators (TravelFusion, Duffel, Verteil, etc.).
  • Working knowledge or New distribution capabilities
