Requirements:

- Must pass a Department of Human Services background check to work with vulnerable populations.
Supervision: Reports to the Program Director; no positions report to Security.
Scope of Work:
- Ensure that community members feel welcome and safe while on PHC premises.
- Ensure the building and facilities are safe and secure.
Job Duties include:
- Welcoming community members to the facility.
- Assisting the Program Director in resolving conflicts among community members.
- Intervening in incidents that threaten the peace of the community.
- Helping those new to PHC assimilate into the community.
- Representing PHC appropriately to the neighborhood and larger community.
- Securing the building and grounds and the start and end of the day.
- Beginning and ending the daily meditation time.
- Assisting community members in abiding by community and meditation guidelines.
- Appropriately documenting any incidents that volunteers, staff, or the Board should know about.
- Answering PHC phone during business hours.
- Assisting other staff as needed with other aspects of PHC operations (e.g. clearing snow, cleaning up, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Rate of Pay: $20 to 25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
Benefits: Three weeks paid vacation per year.
