Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Locum Tenens Psychiatrist needed starting the first of January 2014. This is will inpatient work. Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. There will be 1 weekday call per month and 2 weekend calls per month. Give Staff Care a call for more information.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a p! sychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three! additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
