It is a 271-bed facility associated with the University of Utah School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, enabling patients and staff to benefit from the research and clinical expertise of its faculty. Primary Children's Hospital offers the Pediatric Focus of the Intermountain Healthcare PGY1 Residency. Rotations are also available within the program at Intermountain Medical Center, LDS Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital, and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
Rotations options at Primary Children’s Hospital include: Ambulatory Care (CF Clinic or Hem/Onc clinic), Behavioral Medicine (Pediatric Psychiatry), Emergency Medicine, General Medicine (Peds), Pediatric Immunocompromised, (Hem/Onc/BMT), Investigational Drug Service, Medication Safety, New Born ICU (NBICU), Nutrition Support, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Infectious Disease, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Solid Organ Transplant, Practice Management. Elective rotations at other hospitals include a wide range of ambulatory care, acute an! d critical care settings.
