Davis Hospital and Medical Center opened in 1976 and has been providing high-quality healthcare in Layton for over 30 years now. Before the hospit! al was built, residents of Davis County had to travel to Ogden or Salt Lake City for hospital services. Since opening, Davis has grown, right along with the community. As the hospital added services and upgraded its facilities, it kept pace with the increasing healthcare needs of this growing area. Currently, the hospital is constructing a three-story tower addition. The $36.2 million expansion includes 67 additional beds, a brand new 14-bed Intensive Care Unit, a Women's Surgical Services Unit, and expanded pediatric, medical/surgical and other inpatient services. The expansion will include a conversion of semi-private hospital rooms to private suites. Completion of the beautiful tower addition is scheduled for spring of 2009.

Licensed Certified Social Worker
This full time position will be on adult acute care psychiatric inpatient unit providing individual, family and group therapy to this speical population.
The schedule will include, days, evenings and some weekend work.
Case Management will be a significant component of this position, with a focus on Discharge planning.
The appropriate candidate will be familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Responsible for consultation and direction of social services in the acute Geriatric Psychiatry Department. Provides orientation and education to the social service.
Develops, organizes and implements programs, policies and procedures, conducts case work services and counseling and recommends functions necessary to ensure overall operational viability.
Maintains perfor! mance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.
Requirements
Experience providing group, individual and family therapy as well discharge planning with/for the geriatric population in an acute psychiatric clinic.
Current State of Utah Licensure.
Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of social services and discharge planning.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must have BLS (CPR) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
Must be LCSW.
Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Additional languages preferred.
