The role of the Patient Service Representative (PSR) is to provide "Extraordinary Care" to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional services. A successful! PSR becomes the patient’s advocate and works to facilitate resolution of patient accounts by working with insurance companies, government agencies and patients in the payment for services that have been provided. The PSR has the opportunity to use their valuable skills and resources by responding to questions, researching discrepancies and insurance denials and following Intermountain’s policies and procedures for billing and account management. Completing these duties provides the PSR the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of many on a daily basis.
This position will be on a team supporting a multi-specialty outpatient psychiatry clinic. Our PSRs schedule patients, collect payments, check patients in and out, take messages for providers and other support as requested.
Entry Rate: $11.54

Minimum Requirements
Two or more years of custome! r service experience
Key boarding experience
! Demonstrated good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
Hearing / Listening, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Speaking
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a busy outpatient psychiatry clinic
Experience in a professional office setting
Prior experience working the front desk in a medical office
Prior billing or collections experience
Prior experience scheduling patients
