Description: Cinnamon Hills Youth Crisis Center is at the momment seeking for YOUTH MENTOR right now, this position will be depute in Utah. We are a residential treatment facility located in St. George, UT. The youth in our program are between the ages of 12 to 17. They are here due to! their behavioral issues. Our goal is to help them build self esteem and self respect so they are able to learn and grow as individuals. We want them to learn how to make good decisions and how to treat others with respect.While here for treatment, they also attend our accredited private high school. Our staff consists of administrative staff, therapists, nurses, teachers, youth mentors, a psychiatrist and a psychologist who all work together to support and encourage our youth.The Youth Mentor position involves supervising the youth to ensure they are safe and following program structure. Youth Mentors provide support and encouragement to help our youth prepare for independent living by becoming self-supervised and learning life skills. Youth Mentors maintain a professional relationship with the youth while being a mentor to encourage them in their daily activities. Youth Mentors provide a vital role in the youths treatment.Helping our youth requires consistency, understand! ing and a lot of patience. This position can be very difficult! but very rewarding. This position requires a genuine concern for our youth. This position requires the ability to work 50-53 hours per week on a rotating schedule that requires working 2 weekends a month. There are also 2-5 nights per week that require the need to work until 10:00pm. Benefits and excellent pay.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Ability to get certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED is required.
