As a Food Service Worker, you will perform a variety of duties in the assembly, delivery, and service of patient meals. You will be essential in keeping our patients healthy and happy. Responsibilities include: * Assemble meal trays accurately and presentable * Present menus to patients and assist them with menu selections as needed * Distribute menus according to diet master list * Collect trays after each meal * Prepare and deliver snacks to patients * Cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of equipment and work areas This is a part-time "as needed" per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary. In addition to the Ronald Reagan Medical Center, this position may be required to work at other UCLA Health sites including the Santa Monica Hospital. May convert to Career Salary Range: $19.36-19.36 Hourly

Required: * Knowledge of general and nutrient modified diets; experience in food service. * Ability to follow standardized recipes. * Able to read and write standard English. * Ability to perform basic arithmetic. * Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time; stretch, bend, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively. * Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or wet areas. * Ability to lift (40) pounds, push loaded carts weighing (350) pounds. * Ability to conform to dress code. * Ability to practice safe food handling techniques. * Must have the ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and adhere to production schedules. * Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers. * Ability to travel to multiple UCLA Health locations.
