Medical Director
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Description: StaffingForce is presently looking of Medical Director right now, this job will be delegated in Utah. More details about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Requirements:
- Requires a MD or DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) from an accredited medical school and board certification in psychiatry by the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Board certification by the Amer! ican Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians is preferred
- Medical license to practice independently in the state(s) where employed (i.e., current and unrestricted medical license in psychiatry or osteopathy)
- At least five years of post-residency clinical practice with at least two years managed mental health care experience
- Medical Director oversees the medical utilization and review process
- Provides clinical supervision to Peer Advisors and collaboration with Care Managers and Clinical Supervisors
- Ensures the organizational objective to have qualified clinicians accountable for decisions affecting members/consumers
- Develops/Implements policies and procedures
- Coordination of the Director of Clinical Operations, Director of Quality Management and the Corporate Medical Director
- Provides input into corporate-wi! de policies, procedures, protocols, criteria and guidelines th! rough the Clinical Policy Standards committee
- Manages the Peer Advisors (as assigned) and the review process to ensure quality and consistent application of policies and protocols
