DUTIES:
Responsible for the management, coordination, and provision of psychiatric treatment as the mental health consultant to primary care teams in a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. The psychiatrist will practice in a primary care / behavioral health integrated program and will implement the TIDES Collaborative Care for Depression Model. Actively collaborates with primary care specialists and care managers providing mental health evaluations, clinician education, and decision support, and evidence-based psychopharmacology. Participates in quality of care and peer review activities, and documents clinical treatment and management in electronic medical records including H&Pâ??s, treatment plans, pain assessments, and discharge plans. Provides outpatient evaluations, attending notes, and curbside consultations and has knowledge of psychopharmacology and various psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, insight-oriented methods, family therapy, relaxation training and mindfulness cognitive therapy. Treatments veterans with anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders, traumatic brain injuries, PTSD, and concurrent chronic medical conditions.  Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm

U. S. Citizenship

Must pass pre-employment examination

English Language Proficiency required
